It is also used for weight management in combination with other therapies. Conditions of Use (Indications) 1. Epilepsy: Partial-onset seizures, generalized tonic-clonic seizures, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. 2. Migraine Prophylaxis: Reducing the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. 3. Weight Management (Off-Label): Used as part of combination therapy in obesity treatment. Mechanism of Action Topiramate has multiple mechanisms of action: Blocks voltage-dependent sodium channels, reducing neuronal excitability. Enhances the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at GABA-A receptors, promoting inhibition. Antagonizes glutamate at AMPA/kainate receptors, reducing excitatory neurotransmission. Inhibits carbonic
